Welcome to the House of Mercy. The Day Centre facilities are available to anyone, over 16 years of age, who is homeless, in danger of becoming homeless or living in inadequate accommodation.

The facilities we offer include:
Hot Lunch
Tea/Coffee
Bath
Toilets
Laundry
Clothing Store

 Advice and referral on:

  • Benefits
  • Accommodation
  • Health Requirements
Staff are available, during open hours to lend a listening ear and to offer advice.
 
 Open hours:
  •  Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm
  • Saturday: 9.30am to 2pm
  • Sunday & Bank Holidays: 11.00am to 2pm
Rules
 
For the orderly running of the House and the safety of staff, residents and Day Centre visitors the following rules must be accepted:
  • No alcohol or entering the House under the influence of alcohol
  • No unprescribed drugs or entering the House under the influence of drugs
  • No theft
  • No violence or threats or violence
  • No abusive or threatening violence
  • No visitors may enter before or leave after the open hours above
  • Food must be paid for on a daily or weekly basis – to be agreed with the Manager
  • You will help to keep the sitting room/dining room clean and tidy
  • Visitors who break these rules will be asked to leave the house and may not be allowed to return.
